This is the list I'm currently using as a basis for adding URLs. Its a bit rough and ready, as I keep meaning to spend more time getting things more sorted.

I tend to keep records on paper (I have files for each domain) and record when I register each domain with each search engine. Then I can look back and see how well I've done with each domain.
